Oxfam released this unbelievable PRIDE video wherein the above image was contained. Notice the men have no label on them, TERF is a misogynistic slur weaponized against women only. It’s disgusting that PRIDE has been reduced to an excuse to lob attacks and insults at women.

A reminder that no matter how much TERFs are characterized as out-of-touch old white women from the US and UK, they’re also referring to African women, Korean women, Indian women, Indigenous women- all non-white in developing countries of all ages who think their sex is real and relevant to their oppression and advocacy.

Oxfam workers mercilessly raped Haitian girls as young as 12 years old in the aftermath of natural disasters and Oxfam did nothing. This organization is now also telling us they would not separate women and young girls from male populations in the aftermath of a natural disaster where women are vulnerable to sexual abuse because they prioritize males with identities more than women’s safety.

This organization needs to be defunded and demolished totally.

having a quiet life is so.. underrated. i don’t mean it in the sense that people who’re open and loud and busy aren’t important, but when our culture has significantly put so much emphasis on the definition of success as fame, extraordinary accomplishments, greatness and importance and excessive wealth, i think there is so much power to be found in our own anonymity. in the silence of life. in not being constantly perceived, analyzed and performing for the world. in being able to take a walk, smile at strangers and just notice the world without all that noise. taking the biggest pleasure out of the smallest joys, like a cup of coffee or blowing out birthday candles. knowing that our lives don’t have to be a grand spectacle for others in order to have worth and cause a good impact.

the greatest skill a woman can learn for herself is self reliance

to clarify … so many strong women in my life rely on men. that dependence is dangerous. ladies here are some good ref resources I’ve found helpful on my journey towards self reliance

automobile

plumbing

electrical

home

this list is in no way comprehensive feel free to add on

a lot of ‘man things’ are a lot easier than you think they are. especially considering the fact that most of these things when buying the parts come with directions on the packaging that men usually don’t even look at (and often end up doing it wrong because they were taught by fathers who also did not look at the packaging).

like i recently had to change my car battery and freaked out cause i thought id electrocute myself but turns out new batteries come with directions and its the easiest shit in the world so long as you can lift the damn thing.

so yeah, ladies dont ever feel like a man is a necessity for life, you can do this shit on your own its easier than you think!

My mom is teaching me all of these, if you’re a woman you must learn these.

YouTube is great for things like this

Recently, there’s been a popular post on radblr discussing how women aren’t allowed to have fun like men are, and how men get applauded for doing stupid shit while women get mocked.

I just stumbled upon an example of this in the wild.

Someone on r/stupidfood posted a vid of this woman who filled a fanny pack with spaghetti and ate it while skydiving. It was funny. She was clearly just being silly for silliness’ sake.

image

Not only was the post tag calling her “stupid”, the comments were like 95% making fun of her, calling her an idiot, criticizing her skydiving etiquette, saying the spaghetti looked gross, and just generally bitching about anything and everything.

I was SO GLAD to see these people in the comments pointing out how weird that is:

image

They’re absolutely right. If it were a guy doing this, people would just think it’s funny!!! People would be in the comments calling him a legend and a mad lad.

Filthy Frank could eat ravioli out of his shirt pocket as a stupid joke, and people could understand that he was doing a deliberately stupid thing as a funny bit. But when a woman does something similar, it must just be because she’s stupid and annoying and probably trying too hard to be quirky. Fuck off.

It’s very obvious in any subreddit or space designed to mock cringe. Women will make the most obvious and funny satire and men will gobble up the opportunity to insult her and say she is so stupid, but when men clearly do the thing seriously they’re all like “Oh but it might be satire actually” or just saying it’s funny anyway and he’s a legend.

I mean, you all know it anyway. We’ve all been in middle school and observed the way boys will laugh at anything other boys do, but when it’s a girl they’ll purposefully just stare and make it awkward. The mistake is to think this is middle school behaviour, that can be grown out of. It’s just male behaviour, and it never stops. (just don’t hang out with men, be funny among other women <3)

Let’s say your matrilineal line is fairly consistent and everyone has their daughter at 25. So four women in your matrilineal line are born every hundred years. In a thousand years, that’s only 40 women. Like the math is so simple and yet ? You don’t think about it. So in 2000 years, 80 women. So basically, 0 AD started roughly about 80 mothers ago. That’s it.

I’m……… i’m a little drunk n cannot deal with this right now

Yep

The advent of agriculture around 9500BC was about 450 mothers ago

you can’t just say shit like that without a warning

Many, many mothers ago, when the world was new….

Many of the notes here are saying “But women used to have kids earlier”

Okay. So, assume every woman had her daughter at 20 instead.

That’s five mothers in a century.

Fifty mothers in a thousand years.

One hundred mothers in two thousand years.

That is five hundred and seventy five mothers since the dawn of agriculture.

Less than six hundred women, between you and the dawn of civilization.

You are never so far from your ancestors as you think.

every day i think about how i accidentally outed myself in high school by showing my friends a sweet text from my “boyfriend” that read something along the lines of “good morning, i love you, i know you’re going to the beach with your friends today so be sure to wear sunscreen” and they thought that was too nice of a thing for a man to ever say to a romantic partner so they figured out that my “boyfriend” was a woman. the bar is in the earth’s core

Males will be males

Exhibit 2162

Sad how these women feel so ashamed to be (rightfully) repulsed by their “transitioning” husbands. Those moids would leave them without a thought if it was the other way…

i think people here are too obsessed with discussing a feminist movement that doesn’t exist. the second wave was made up of hundreds of local groups who met regularly and collected membership and followed robert’s rules of order etc.. they met with legislative representatives and campaigned for specific programs and laws and provided programs to women in their communities. we are doing none of that. and yet everyone is up everyone’s ass about who is a real feminist and what it means to be radical feminist as if we actually have a tangible political movement to debate about instead of a bunch of blogs and a small handful of social meetup groups. stop being so obsessed with feminism as an identity and start identifying women in your community you can actually do feminist shit with
